The band formed in October 2007 by 5 experienced musicians from
Stafford, led by Captain David Keates MBE (Retired), Staffordshire
Army Cadets.
Military Corps of Drums Music
Their aim is to preservation of Military Corps of Drums Music and
Drumming as part of their culture, by playing and performing
at concerts, Civic parades and competitions throughout the country.
The Band first met at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre and now meets
regularly on a Thursday evening at Stafford's Royal British Legion
Eastgate Street, Stafford at 7.30pm.
We are proud to represent Stafford Royal British Legion Branch and
Club and in only a few weeks have become "Stafford Royal British
Legion Branch Corps of Drums".
If you are interested in joining the band as a fifer, flautist,
bugler ,drummer or other percussion, please get in touch and let us
know. We are currently recruiting for fifers and drummers. We have a
minimum age requirement of 18 years and no upper age limit.
They first paraded on Remembrance Sunday 2007, where they led
on behalf of the Brewood Royal British Legion Branch (South
Staffordshire County) with 4 side drummers, a base drummer, a cymbal
player and one Fife.

TA Veterans from around the United Kingdom are invited to attend the
National TA100 Armed Forces Memorial Parade and Service at the National Memorial
Arboretum Staffordshire. Saturday 13th September 2008 1400 hours.
