 TA100 National Armed Forces Memorial Parade and Service

 

 
 

All serving TA service personnel and Veterans from around the United Kingdom are invited to take part in  the only National TA100 Parade & Service outside London on
Saturday 13
th September 2008

 REGIMENTAL ASSOCIATIONS, ROYAL BRITISH LEGION, STANDARD & GUIDON BEARERS

ANYONE TA VETERAN CAN COME AND JOIN IN THIS TA100 PARADE...JUST TURN UP ON SATURDAY 13TH. DETAILS BELOW

 
 

The National  TA100 Armed Forces Memorial Parade & Service is the only National TA100 parade outside London and will take place on the 13 Sep 08 at 1400 hrs celebrating and remembering the contribution of the TA and the Reserve Forces and Cadet Association (RFCA) over the last 100 years.


Royal British Legion standards marching towards the Armed Forces MemorialProgramme for the Day
Unveiling of a memorial plaque, followed by a dedication service, helicopter fly past and then the march past consisting of serving TA Soldiers,  Service Veterans and Royal British Legion personnel. Taking Part in the National Armed Forces Memorial Parade
Guidons and Colours of all the UK Infantry and Yeomanry Brigades, 6 Flight  7 Regiment (V) Army Air Corps, 4th Battalion The Mercian Regiment Band, 73 Engineer Regiment (V) Band. Marching parties from 5 Div comprising of 49 Bde (East Midlands). 143 Bde (West Midlands) and 160 Bde (Wales).

Plus Standard Bearers from: The Royal British Legion, The Royal British Legion Scotland, Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps, Home Service Forces Association, Royal Artillery Association, Royal Engineers Association, Royal Signals Association and many other Regimental/Corps Associations.

TA/TAVR Veterans Marching Parties from: The Royal Hospital Chelsea,  many former units across the United Kingdom, The Royal Welsh, and the all the branch standards of The Mercian Volunteers Regimental Association collectively paraded together for the first time.

The General Public
The general public are very welcome to attend this event, at no charge, and once the march past has taken place people are invited to visit the various memorials at this site.

There is also the ability to purchase refreshments and snacks within the Arboretum utilising the existing facilities.

Car Parking & Disability Car parking will be available at Catton Hall this will be sign posted and a park and ride system will be in operation.
