 Royal British Legion Badges

The Legion now has a Single Membership, giving all members equal rights to participate in Branch, County and National decision-making processes of the organisation. All other badges such as Associate,  have become obsolete and can be considered as part of our history.

On the following pages are examples of The Royal British Legion, British Legion,  and Women's Section Lapel Badges. Amongst the collection here the reader will find two prime examples of one of The Legion's highest awards that can bestowed upon a member 'The Royal British Legion Badge in Gold' [Link to Award Criteria Page] and the The badge of The National Certificate of AppreciationNational Certificate of Appreciation Badge.

National Certificate of Appreciation Badge

This badge identifies the member as having been awarded the National Certificate of Appreciation which is The Legion's highest award.

The Legion badge is a registered design and neither the badge nor the corporate (as used on this web page) logo may be used outside the organisation without permission.

Exhibits - Badge In Gold

Picture of one of the earliest British Legion Gold Badges from BMBC In this online exhibition of Royal British Legion (RBL) and British Legion (BL) membership numbered badges can be found two historically important Legion Badges in Gold firstly a hallmarked 1933 and secondly one hallmarked 1972 the year that the crown was added to The Royal British Legion badge.
