County Recruiting Officer's Course

 

 Aim:
To brief selected individuals how to establish a County-wide network of Volunteer Recruiters, advise Groups/Districts and Branches on recruiting/retention and LIC matters and formulate the Annual County Recruiting Plan and LIC Plan.


 
 

Target Student:
RBL Members who have an interest and a flair for recruiting and who also have an ability and the confidence to brief a variety of audiences.  Candidates should have previously attended a Recruiting Advisors’ Course, but this is not mandatory.


 
 

Course Content:
Briefing on RBL’s main activities.
 Recruiting and LIC publications and other relevant material including statistics. Recruiting organisation and plans.
Recruiting and LIC finance.
Direct debit subscription payment (DDSP) and Gift Aid.
National recruiting schemes.
Recruiting / retention and LIC planning.
Recruiting / retention / LIC  exercise. Discussion period.


 
 

Sponsor’s Approval:

The Course is sponsored by Head of Membership Services and Development (HMSD) who will co-ordinate and screen all applications.


 
 

Registration:

Successful candidates will be added to the National Register of County Recruiting Officers (CROs) maintained by the HMSD.


 
 

Role and Responsibility:

Once trained a CRO will operate in that role under the control of the County concerned.  HMSD, or a Regional Publicity and Recruiting Officer (RPRO), may request assistance from a CRO at recruiting briefings held in their local areas.

Everyone involved in these courses are volunteers, each with the sole purpose, students and teachers alike, to gain from experience and to benefit the Legion, it's aims and objectives.
