The Royal British Legion has begun investing in an exciting and far reaching programme of change called Taking the Legion Forward.
This change programme will help the Legion respond to the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
Taking the Legion Forward means the Legion is changing - as both a leading charity and as a major membership organisation.
What is special about Taking the Legion Forward is that it is not a “top down” exercise – the goals and actions helping us become a model charity are based on the responses and ideas of thousands of ordinary Legion members worldwide
What are the aims of Taking the Legion Forward?
- To revitalise The Royal British Legion as a membership organisation
- Make the Legion more relevant to people from all walks of life
- Help the Legion become a model charity by adopting best practice.
Initiatives:
Several key initiatives are taking place affecting many different areas of Legion operations.
Much of Taking the Legion Forward affects internal structures and processes, however, its cumulative results will make The Royal British Legion a model of best practice, by extending its capacity and capability to care, and by securing its current position as the UK’s leading ex-Service charity well into this century and beyond.
