Leek Branch commemorates the Battle of El Alamein

Members of the Leek Branch were joined by other members from branches in north Staffordshire on Wednesday, 24th October, to commemorate the events of the Battle of El Alamein in 1942.  65 years on, veteran Norman Corden, formerly a corporal in the Royal Army Service Corps who helped supply the Eighth Army, laid a wreath at Leek's Nicholson war Memorial in memory of fallen comrades.  The Homage was read by the Chairman of the Leek Branch, Geoff Robinson B.E.M. and Bill Vaughan sounded the Last Post and Reveille.
