16 branch and local organisation
standards were paraded for the 11th Annual
North Staffordshire Royal British Legion Festival of
Remembrance, Saturday 5th November 2005.
Many VIP guests including the
Elected Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent Mark Meredith, the Mayor
and Mayoress of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Councillor Colin
and Mrs Sheila Brooks. Our honoured County Patron the
Earl of Harrowby, Ken Fielding County President and Ken
and Mrs Anne Compton County Chairman,
Major John and Mrs Bamford MBE TD JP where also amongst
the guests. Sam Platt Stoke on Trent's Signal Radio.
The 2007 Festival of Remembrance will be held as usual
at the Kings Hall, Stoke-on-Trent Saturday 3rd November.
Open to members of the public who would like to show
their support for the work of the Royal British Legion
in North Staffordshire. Tickets are £5.00 all proceeds
go to the Poppy Appeal.
